This Indian restaurant in Saigon has a special name and I like it. It's a small restaurant with a good chef, great food but the service is not really what I expected. They didn't explain what each dish was when it arrived at the table and, it seems that smiling is a very difficult thing to do here :) However, the owner is a friendly Indian guy. I reckon that they need to ask the staff to change their attitude or they will lose their customers.
I really can't remmeber what I ordered except for plain nan and garlic nan, some curries and tandoor dishes. I enjoyed my food and watching Indian music videos with beautiful Indian singers on a big screen. It was a bit like Bollywood. We need one good Indian restaurant like this place in Hanoi.

Hmm, that looks pretty good. It's good to know there is at least one good Indian place in HCMC - it's one of my favorite cusines so I won't have to miss out during our extended vacation.
Indian, mmmm. I want some Butter Chicken :)
Hmmm...okay, maybe my sis and I need to convince our Dad to open a nice Indian restaurant in Hanoi. I don't know how to Bhangra dance, but I can learn...!! :)
Really though...in Hanoi, Khazana is/was okay, but inconsistent and expensive; and I've only ever had a salted lasi and Dakshin, so I can't judge.
That is alot of red food! I haven't tried much Indian food.
wow it looks so good!! I was talking about india in my blog too! what a coincidence ;)
Preya, I think thats a good idea :), Khazana is ok.

Thanks, I'll try Alibaba. My favourite Indian restaurant in town is Ashoka, have you tried it? They have absolutely delightful curries and a wide range of breads (nans etc) and the prices aren't too bad either.
