Art in Viet

There are lots of crazy ideas in house design in Viet Nam which is not surprising when you think about our history. In the big cities and even in the countryside, there are so many big architecture firms.

You may laugh when you look at these pictures. Some of them are so ugly with terrible colours and strange ideas. Along with the traditional ochres, I've seen bright pink, purple and green houses here in Hanoi!

Is this a King's crown?

What is this ?

Mr GodKnow,

Let me ask you:

"if you live in your house most of your life and never been to another house. You have decorate your home to fit your tastes.

And you suddenly turned around and said:

"You may laugh when you look at these pictures. Some of them are so ugly with terrible colours and strange ideas. Along with the traditional ochres, I've seen bright pink, purple and green houses here in Hanoi!"

AND YOU CALLED THAT YOUR OWN PERSPECTIVE? IMAGING!

I am a foreigner, so I may be missing something -- but it seems to me there is a very large difference between housing architecture in the northern part of Việt Nam and the south. The buildings Godknows included here are representative of what I have seen for houses in the north. In the south of Vietnam around Ho Chi Minh City, the houses are mostly modernist, meaning simple lines and complementary colors. I have no idea why, but I find the differences very interesting.
