Spread some mayonnaise on a bread roll, add some grilled fish in the bread roll and heat it in the oven. After five minutes, take the bread out of the oven, add some chilli sauce, fresh coriander, lettuce, cucumber and tomato. Wow, so yummy.
It takes a few mins to make it at home, and even though eating out is really cheap in Vietnam, there is something satisfying about preparing a meal for yourself.

yummy...yummy!!! The bread, i think, is called "French bread". The reason should be clear, since we didn't have it until 1900s. However, when I had a chance to taste the real French ones, it wasn't quite the same. They always adds sugar or butter or something of that kinds, which makes the bread special in their own ways, but at the time, kills the flavors of the flours, which is definitely enjoyable in Vietnamese's way. In brief, I still like the Vietnamese bread better :p
There are so many ways Vietnamese make a meal out of the bread, but the one thing in common is that we like to put stuff, like omellet, meat, or sometimes- soup, in the middle of the bread (as in the picture). In such a way, all the flavors came together, makes it even more tasty in your mouth...
Man, I just had lunch and now my mouth is watering again...

i think the vietnamese bread is special as i read that rice flour is blended into dough.

The bread in Hanoi is French style baguette.And in Viet Nam, the best bread is from Nha Trang (I think).
